Where are you located?

Sweets by AmyLew is a home-based business licensed by the State of Arizona and multiple cities in Maricopa County  and holds permits through the Arizona Department of Health Services. Sweets by AmyLew also maintains a current food handler’s card issued by Maricopa County and is insured. Documentation provided to event venues upon request.

How do you address food allergies?

All cakes, fillings, and buttercream are made in a kitchen that uses products that may contain or come in contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy or other potential food allergens. It is the customer’s responsibility to notify event guests and any other necessary parties of this risk. 

Where are your tasting/design consultations held?

We understand how much work goes into planning your big event so we bring our tastings to you! We can meet you at your event venue or at your favorite coffee shop; whichever is the most convenient for you. A $40 tasting fee is required to secure your consultation.  The $40 deposit will then be deducted from the final cost of your cake.  If you fail to keep your scheduled consultation date and do not notify us at least one week in advance of a time conflict or desire to cancel, your credit card will not be refunded. (Tastings reserved for weddings or events serving more than 75 guests.) 

What is your payment policy?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your order and date; the remaining 50% is due 14 days prior to your event. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit. Payments can be made by cash or credit card. Any orders placed with less than 14 days notice require payment in full by cash or credit card at the time of signing the contract and are non-refundable. 

Do you take last minute orders?

We definitely attempt to accommodate last minute requests if our schedule allows. However, we recommend booking your cake/treats as early as possible as our dates fill up fast. 

May I pick up my order?

Yes, you may pick up your order. Please allow for plenty of flat floor space in your vehicle.  The back of an SUV or floor of passenger side is best, we do not recommend placing the cake on the seat or someone holding the cake.  We can provide the approximate dimensions of cake and box prior to pick up.

*Note: Sweets by AmyLew is not responsible for damages to an order once it has left our shop. Repairs will be subject to additional fees on a case-by-case basis.
